One of the world's most admired TV hosts and one of Hollywood's highest paid has been pushing the need to go green and save the environment. From time to time, Oprah holds episodes dedicated to “going green” in the Oprah Winfrey Show. All of which are aimed at encouraging the viewers and the whole world to take on environment-friendly lifestyles. The show believes that even the simplest deed such as an organic automobile rust remover can go a long way in saving Mother Earth. Together with her guests, Oprah came up with some simple tips on how to take on the first green steps.

1.Diesel-powered vehicles should opt for bio diesel.
2.When buying for vegetables and fruits, use your own natural cotton-made bag.
3.Avoid keeping old and unused clothes. Instead, give them to charity.
4.Try buying from resale stores! You won't only get a good deal, it is also a lot of fun.
5.When shopping, avoid using plastic or paper bags, instead, use a reusable organic bag instead.
6.Instead of buying a bottled water, use a reusable water bottle.
7.Use cloth napkins instead of paper ones.
8.Always use a power strip on your computer and television. When the appliances are not in use, switch off the power strip.
9.Conserve water. Always run your dishwasher full.
10.Use compact fluorescent instead of light bulbs.
11.Save more water by taking shorter showers.
12.Recycle.
13.Reduce your junk mails! You can have yourself unsubscribed.
14.Avoid using toxic chemicals at home and in your business. Use natural cleaners instead. Don't underestimate these organic products. You can effectively remove rust from sidewalk even in just quick spray.
15.Promote a paper-less environment at home and at work. Always think twice before printing anything.
