Once rust formed then you have to use rust removers or rust products to remove the rust. This process is very costly. So to make it cost effective it is wise to keep the car in a dry place.

Another thing that you have to take at is the gas tank. You should fill the gas tanker and add fuel stabilizing additive to prevent the gas from oxidization. Otherwise you may get a rusted tanker with lots of moisture in it. Finally disconnect the battery.
