So let us say that you had already got your car prepared for the rust removal process. You have also chosen an effective and organic rust remover. What do you have to do next or how do you get the process to work?

Well, here are the steps.

• Be safe and cautious. Wear protective gear like masks, gloves and safety glasses. The removal of rust will have you do some scrubbing which means that its flakes could fly anywhere. The safety glasses will keep your eyes protected from those rust flakes. The gloves will protect you from possible cuts that if rust can penetrate can be worse. There will be car rust remover that will be used so the mask will keep you from inhaling it. If you are using a non-organic rust removal product, the masks are of greater help than you might think as it can save you from chemical inhalation.

• For the part that won’t be need the rust removal process, cover it up and seal it with a tape. This is to protect it from possible damages.

• Level the rusted spot with the surface without the rust. Remove the paint and scrub off lose rust flakes. You can use a grinder for this.

• Use a metal grinding wheel to get rid of rust that had penetrated deep into the surface. Apply your chosen car rust remover and use a spot filler to even out the dents and spots where the paint was removed.

• Buy a primer and prepare the surface for it.

• Spray the primer on the surface for three coats with a few minute gaps. Wait at least 12 hours before sanding the surface. The 400 grit wet sandpaper is the most recommended for this.

• Spray paint on the surface. Make sure that the coating is even with the already painted parts.

• Wait for 24 hours and buff the surface. Again wait for 48 hours before polishing the surface and you’re done with your car’s rust removal process.
