Will de-icer rust your car? In Portland some folks are worried. The winter conditions have a ton of de-icer trucks from the department of transportation with more than 100,000 gallons of liquid de-icer. It appears that now the Department of Transportation not only needs de-icer but also a 100% organic rust remover, called Rusterizer.

I got a cool old Texas Instruments TI-5000 Micro Printer calculator, but there is blue and green corrosion all over the metal battery things. How do I remove it?

Wipe off the most of it with a paper towel or kleenex, then use sandpaper. A little contact cleaner from the electronics department should then be sprayed on.
