Honestly I really do not like correct anyone on their own video. First and foremost the onion MAY work on certain thing like hamburgers. DO NOT USE WD-40 ON A GUN, LADY!!! It is a PENETRATING OIL! If that gets into the internal parts say bye bye, just asked any gun smith. Also it is FLAMMABLE. So in addition to those who are using this method DO NOT SHOOT THE GUN FOR ATLEAST 24HRS OR UNTIL IT DRIES. No offense those above tips needed to be said. Good safety you gave though.

i tried this, left my remington 870 12 ga, ruger 10/22, and mosin nagant all in my gun case, somehow moisture got into it, spot rusted the barrels preatty good, tried this method…
the onion worked barely, took a little tad bit off, but just no, didnt work well, tried WD40 and a rag, worked better but still for the rust on mine, didnt work great
the steel wool (0000) works good, but be careful not to unblue it, or els you’ll have to reblue it
