How can I repair my cars rim?

by admin on August 28, 2010

I have a set of ASA jh8′s they are 18″ chrome rims. They no longer make the wheel anymore and I don’t feel like buying new rims. One of the wheels has a problem with corrosion on the inside part of the wheel and it loses air slowly but it’s annoying to have to fill up the tire every few days. Any suggestions of what to do or where to bring it would help a lot! Thanks.

put a 10% solution of dish soap and water in a spray bottle. spray to find the leak. break the tire down 1/2″ in that area. dry thoroughly and inject silicone caulk. reinflate just enough to reseat the tire. wipe off excess caulk. wait 2 hours and reinflate to pressure.

Look online or in the Yellow Pages for a rim repair shop in your area.
