The circuit board has white stuff on it. I found out that its a sign of corrosion. So how can I reverse this?
You can stop further corrosion by cleaning it using 90% isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush, but you won’t be able to reverse it.

Try cleaning it with a dedicated toothbrush and some rubbing alcohol – the purer, the better. 70% contains oil. avoid if possible. aim for 99% or better. the 1% is so ppl don’t drink it.
If that doesn’t work, find an ultrasonic cleaner – most inkjet refill kiosks and jewellery stores in shopping malls have them. Use distilled water, or isopropyl alcohol.

Corrosion is not that bad. You can get so much corrosion sometimes that things don’t function but that takes a little bit of time. Plus, remember you can sometimes fix that corrosion by replacing that part of the circuit or putting down some new solder in those areas where the old has had problems. If the corrosion is on a circuit trace, you can heat that up with a soldering gun and then put some new solder down. If the corrosion is on some contact points, which is probably most likely the copper that is corroding where the wires are. I would snip the wires off, strip them clean and then solder them back on. Hope this helps. If you want to post a photo of the board, we can take a look at it and see which part is damaged and if it can be repaired.
