There is some rust on the rear rocker panels on a car I’m looking to buy (Ford Escort Wagon). Can anyone estimate how much it will be to get fixed?
to replace the entire thing some cost about $400. To patch it might be slightly less if not the same price.

Ok well it depends where you go, get a new piece, don’t try patching it because the rust will come back out, a job like that should be 400-600, try takin it to the ford dealer body shop but they might be more expensive

I wouldn’t buy this car because of WHERE it rusted. Your going to have more problems with it in the near future.

rust can be very difficult to repair, say it looks like 6×8 inch area of rust but when the body-man starts to cut the rust out chances are it has spread you can’t see it until he starts cutting the rust out and trust me he will find that is has spread "like a cancer" rust can become very expensive to repair

i just had a estmate to fix a 5×4 patch of rust on my 93 s-10 blazer $300.00 by the it was done a 9×9 peice of my truck was replaced $856.82 later be careful ! !
