finally it dawned …
finally it dawned on me to flush the tank…it had sand, rust & water in the fuel..& of course this all sits @ the bottom of the tank where the pick up tube sits…so, after draining the tank, i stuck some nuts & bolts in there & shook it around…lawn mower starts with like 1/4 pull now

i had to do the same thing to my lawn mower tank…i was going to go buy some gas for my lawn mower & a neighbor offered me like 5 gallons of fuel that he recycled from a truck tank…well, it work find for a little while & killed my lawn mower… i didn’t realize it @ first & let the mower sit for a little while…one day i torn it all apart & rebuilt it. but, it kept choking out. i kept taking the tank off & setting it to the side…lol

well the motor that was in it was actually fairly fresh and I had done some work to make it run a little hotter for him but since he was low on cash we left the bottom end stock… and yes I had never thought of using a chain before but that is an awesome idea Ill have to try it when I go to clean a tank next, thanks

yeah true i wouldn’t have brought an old motor like what was in there up to 7 grand in the first place… btw couldn’t you use a chain to clean the gas tank i think it would do about the same job but be a lot easier to get out…

well the reason it wont make much is just because Im not going to put much time and effort into it if hes just going to blow it again… if I had had my 300 six drivetrain sitting in the shop it would have gone in instead… Im thinking for now he doesnt need anything too terrible powerful lest he should do to it what he did to the last one I built lol
