How to clean rust off a can opener?

by admin on August 10, 2010

Hello! Our fairly expensive (for us) can opener has rust on it, and we’re not happy. We’re also not very bright when it comes to looking after our kitchen utensils, so that’s why I’m asking this. How do you clean rust off a can opener? We don’t want to buy another one.

Loosen grime by brushing with an old toothbrush. To thoroughly clean blades, run a paper towel through the cutting process. To remove rust, use a paste of white vinegar, baking soda and water, and scrub with a toothbrush. Rinse well.
