How to clean rust off bathroom basin and toilet?

by admin on August 6, 2010

What can I use or do to get the rust off of a bathroom basin and toilet. The toilet had been leaking for a long time and left that rust in the bowl, same with the basin. I know there are many products on the market that’s suppose to clean that off but what will actually work besides replacing the basin and toilet?

Rub the rust spots with baking soda on a damp cloth, they should eventually disappear. For the toilet bowl – use a pumice stone, scrub the ring around the bowl several times.

Try Barkeepers Friend. It’s a powdered cleanser you can buy in some groceries and at places like Wal-Mart. Removes rust very well along with a lot of other nasty stuff without scratching.
