@Midget424 It helps …
@Midget424 It helps, actually. Less chance to scratch the wheels. Just like spraying a car down before washing it.

You never use ACID products on rims!!! Heck man dollar store sells degreasers for a buck that would have done that job with out acid! You amateurs and your acid lol

I’ve used a gas …
I’ve used a gas pressure washer @ 3000psi to remove some of that baked-on crud. DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK … I’m just offering my method. Even at that pressure some of it is hard to get off.

Yeah it’s more like corrosion and oxidation. The clear was going bad on these rims. I’ve used acid before but this wasn’t bad enough to use acid

That isnt rust. All …
That isnt rust. All purpose cleaner does NOT clean rust. For Aluminum wheels like this one use acid to clean them but be careful with that stuff.

That’s not rust, …
That’s not rust, Aluminum doesn’t rust, it corrodes. What you are cleaning is the dirt, grime, and brake dust that is absorbed by the porous aluminum. You can also use non-abrasive powder cleaners, like Bon Ami, to get the same effect.

Thanks a lot! Well …
Thanks a lot! Well we get it from a local supplier “Ray Chem” idk if you can buy it any where else but something else that would work good is that “Purple Power” and “greased lightening” you can buy them at most dollar stores for little to nothing and they work fantastic, just remember to do little sections at a time to the cleaner doesn’t sit too long, hope that helped!
