Now there are parts where the remover has eaten away the shiny enamel on the plastic. Is there any way to repair this and return the sheen to the toilet seat cover? Thank you!!

just buy a new one..they cost VERY little (and no there’s not much chance of repairing the seat…and why bother ?)
