what can i use to stop rust forming on my stainless steel cooker after cleaning it?

by admin on August 10, 2010

i have a rusty cooker
any thing with steel in it will rust eventually

There are vcarious grades of stainless. FMB is high grade food grade FDP is low quality with more impurities in it.

Nothing you can do if it is the "cheap" stainless steel – sorry!

Stainless steel does not rust – unless it’s very, very poor quality.

It can’t be stainless steel as this does not rust. If it is stainless steel, the marks won’t be rust and you could try wiping over it with something like vegetable oil to remove the marks. If it is another type of metal and it is rust on it, you won’t be able to remove the rust.

If you’re getting rust, it isn’t stainless steel.

I know you’ve just cleaned it but if you rub some oil into it not lots just enough to give it a bit of a shine then rub it off it won’t rust as the oil is protecting it.
