what rust remover spray do i use for my car under carriage?

by admin on September 9, 2010

i purchased a new( used ) car and noticed that the under carriage doesn’t look like it has been undercoated in a year maybe 2, so the under carriage has some surface rust, it’s not bad yet, just surface. whats a good combo to use after i hoist my car up? what rust removal spray, rust reformer spray, and primer?

There isn’t actually a spray that will remove rust, what I would suggest is sandblast the under carriage, you can then find primers that will seal the metal and prevent the rust from coming back, I would then suggest using a spray-in box liner, this will cover the primer, is fairly hard to chip off when driving, and also helps muffle noise while driving.

U might try Extend made by Loctite it doesn’t come in spray form but U could brush it on after the proper surface prep. Here’s the instructions: http://www.rshughes.com/images/products/docs/RUeIlvHlPJMqx_zAcG8Zkw.pdf
